When creating a Web Disk account in cPanel, you can assign one of two permission levels:
-
Read-Write – Grants full access to the assigned directory. The user can view, upload, edit, rename, and delete files. This level of access is suitable for trusted users who need to manage content.
-
Read-Only – Restricts access to viewing and downloading files only. The user cannot upload, modify, or delete any files. This is ideal for users who only need to access information without making changes.
Assigning the correct permissions is important to maintain security and control over your server’s files.
