???? Phew. What a week for server admins.

Last week was one of those periods where everything happens at once behind the scenes.

Across the Linux and hosting ecosystem, multiple serious security vulnerabilities were disclosed that required immediate attention. These issues affected core system components and, in certain conditions, could allow privilege escalation on a server. In practice, this triggered a full industry-wide response from hosting providers.

For us, this meant one thing: everything else takes a back seat until security is fully handled.

During this period, our team was fully focused on mitigation work, patching, validation, and system-wide security checks across the entire Lanetti / LAFU infrastructure. This included applying vendor updates, reinforcing affected areas, and verifying stability after changes.

Because of this focused security work, some ongoing projects and non-critical requests experienced delays last week. That is the direct reason for slower response times during this period.

???? Now the important part.

If you are using shared hosting, a managed VPS, or a managed dedicated server:

Nothing was required from your side at any point.

All updates and security actions were handled at infrastructure level by us. Your services continued running normally, and everything remains monitored and stable.

In some cases, system level updates may require a reboot to fully apply protections. If needed, this is handled in a controlled and planned way to avoid disruption.

⚙️ To keep it simple:

  • Security vulnerabilities were disclosed in Linux systems.
  • The hosting industry responded immediately.
  • We prioritized mitigation and applied all necessary updates across our environment.

That is also why some projects and responses were delayed last week — we focused fully on keeping the infrastructure secure and stable.

Everything is now up to date, verified, and operating normally.

Thanks for your patience during a very focused week on our side. We’re back to normal operations.
