This guide explains how to use cPanel Webmail to access and manage your email through a web browser. It covers how to log in, send and receive emails, set up a signature, change your password, and organize your inbox using Roundcube Webmail, which is the default webmail client available in cPanel.

 

Logging into Webmail

To access your webmail account:

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://yourdomain.com/webmail.

  2. Enter your full email address and password.

  3. Click Log in to open the Roundcube Webmail interface.

Once logged in, you’ll see your inbox, folders, and other email management tools.

 

Sending an Email

To compose and send an email:

  1. Click Compose in the left sidebar menu.



  2. Enter the recipient's email address in the To field.

  3. Add a subject and type your message in the email body.

  4. (Optional) Click Attach to upload files.

  5. Click Send to deliver the email.

 

Receiving and Reading Emails

  • New messages automatically appear in the Inbox folder.

  • Click on an email to open and read it.

  • Use toolbar options such as Reply, Reply All, Forward, Delete, or Move to Folder for managing the email.

 

Setting Up an Email Signature

To add a custom signature to your outgoing emails:

  1. Click Settings in the top-right corner.

  2. Go to Identities and select your email address.

  3. In the Signature field, enter your desired signature text or HTML code.

  4. Click Save to apply the signature.

 

Changing Your Email Password

To change your email password (Note: must be done from within cPanel, not Webmail):

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  2. Navigate to Email Accounts under the Email section.

  3. Find your email account and click Manage.

  4. Enter a new secure password, then confirm it.

  5. Click Update Email Settings to save the changes.

 

Managing Emails and Folders

Organizing Emails:

  • Drag and drop emails into custom folders to stay organized.

Deleting Emails:

  • Select the emails you no longer need and click Delete.

Emptying Trash:

  • Go to the Trash folder and click Empty to permanently delete messages and free up storage space.

Final Notes

  • Roundcube is the default and most widely supported webmail client in cPanel, but others like Horde may also be available depending on your hosting setup.

  • Always use a strong, unique password to keep your email secure.

  • Clear your browser cache or try another browser if you encounter login issues.
