Creating custom email addresses in cPanel allows you to manage professional or personal email accounts under your own domain (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com). The number of email accounts you can create depends on your hosting plan, so be sure to check your package limits. This guide walks you through the process of adding a new email account step by step.

Step 1. Log in to cPanel

Step 2. Click the Email Accounts icon under the Email section.

Step 3.You’ll be taken to the Email Accounts page. If any accounts already exist, they will be listed. Click Create to add a new account.

Step 4. Enter the desired username. The domain name will be automatically added based on your selection. Only letters, numbers, periods, hyphens, and underscores are allowed. The username can be up to 64 characters long.

Step 5. Choose how to set the password:

  • Set password now: Manually enter the password.

  • Send login link: Let the user set their own password via email.
You can also click Generate to create a strong, random password.

Step 6. Optional: Click Edit Settings to access additional configuration options.

Step 7. Define the email account’s storage limit. The default is 512 MB. You can enter a custom limit or select Unlimited.

Step 8. Decide whether to enable automatic folder creation for plus addressing (e.g., yourname+folder@domain.com). You can enable or disable this option.

Step 9. By default, a welcome email is sent to help the user set up their email client. Uncheck the box if you don’t want this email to be sent.

Step 10. Click Create to finish. If you want to stay on the same page after creation, check the box labeled Stay on this page after I click Create before clicking.

Your new email account is now active and ready to use. You can access it through Webmail or configure it on your preferred email client (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird, or mobile mail apps). If you encounter any issues, contact your hosting provider’s support for assistance.

To check your email online, go back to the Email Accounts page in cPanel and click Check Email next to the address you just created.
